Private Lessons at the Lake Claire Pool
Hello Wahoo! Our senior coaches will be offering private lessons at LCPC starting on May 8th. The coaches offer these lessons independently from the Wahoo, so please communicate and book lessons directly with them (the Wahoo do not manage lessons).
Abel is a Georgia native who specializes in swim coaching and water safety instruction. With over 11 years of experience working with programs like the Georgia Tech health course, the country club swim league, and The Galloway School swim team, he brings a strong background in both teaching and athlete development. He is also a certified lifeguard and lifeguard instructor, with experience at the CRC Aquatic Center, and currently coaches with Metro Atlanta Aquatic Club (MAAC).
At Wahoo, Abel is passionate about helping swimmers build confidence, develop strong fundamentals, and feel safe in the water. Whether working with beginners or more experienced swimmers, he focuses on creating a positive and encouraging environment where swimmers can grow, have fun, and develop a lifelong love for swimming.
Hi, I’m Jackson. I swam for Lake Claire for 11 years and Metro Atlanta Aquatics Club for 7 years. Along with my swimming experience, I’ve been coaching swimmers ages 4-18 for 3 years. I can work with younger swimmers who are trying to master the basics, older, more experienced swimmers that need feedback and stroke work, and anything in between. My philosophy is all about improving swimmers’ feel for the water, so I give kids different cues in my drills to help them figure their strokes out themselves. I am psyched to come back for my 4th year coaching the Wahoo!

Hi! I’m Lucy. I’m a student at Georgetown University, studying English, psychology, and education. I have absolutely loved being a Wahoo coach for the last three (!!) summers and am so excited to be returning for the fourth time. I’ve been swimming as long as I’ve been walking, so I have a strong sense of technique, and my time coaching has taught me how to translate that technique in a way that makes sense to my swimmers. I have taken a multitude of courses on educational psychology and have spent countless hours in teaching, tutoring, and babysitting environments, so I feel confident in my ability to teach in a way that meets your swimmer’s needs. I have coached ages 3-18, and would be more than happy to work with swimmers of all levels. Hi everyone! My name is Cary Schroeder and I am a current student at the University of Georgia. This summer, I am coaching for the Wahoo swim team and have been part of this team/family since I was a little girl! I have been a swimmer for just as long doing club swimming from ages 5 to 15, as well as swimming all throughout high school!
